5 Year Reunion

So, this summer is 5 years since I graduated from High School, but during our Senior year we voted (yes, we did, no matter how many of you do not remember) to not have a 5 year reunion and just start with a 10 year reunion. So, in light of that non-existent 5 year reunion, the old gang got together anyway.
We gathered at Martha's house and ate and swam...good times!

One comment was made about our change in food from high school to now, instead of just having chips and soda to eat we actually had hamburgers with all the fixings, pasta salad, green salad, jello salad, veggies with dill dip, chips, soda, cupcakes, cake, and shaved ice. We have evolved!

"Mormons meet at church" when talking about how to meet people (as in potential mates) after you graduate college).

We all had a really great time catching up. It's amazing what we've all managed to accomplish in the past 5 years and I look forward to the amazing things that will be accomplished in the next 5 years!

Olive you!

And I thought nothing fun ever happened around here...I was wrong! What could be more fun that an Olive Festival! Brad and I decided to check it out. It was actually a lot of olive oil tasting, which is good, we like olive oil, but my favorite was the balsalmic vinegar we tasted. We liked it so much we bought a bottle. But the best part was how you taste vinegar. I bet you don't know the proper way to taste all types of vinegar...


That's right...sugar cubes! You are supposed to put the sugar cube on a spoon, then drip some vinegar onto the spoon and the sugar cube soaks it up. Then you place the sugar cube in your mouth (NEVER chew!) and suck on the cube to suck all the vinegar out, then the sugar melts in your mouth, it was amazing! LOVE it!

Yes, believe it or not, they had olive oil ice cream, and I actually really enjoyed it!

The beginning of the END!

Okay, so I've been holding off getting a blog for so long, but I've finally caved in and decided to start one. It's actually kind of funny, I've had the blog address for about 3 months now, but just now got around to figuring out some of the stuff. I'm pretty sure I will get the hang of it, but right now I'm sure my blog looks pretty lame.

Anyways, just want to be able to update people whenever they feel like being updated. I decided that since I love looking at my friend's blogs and knowing what they're doing that maybe they'd like the same thing...maybe not, my life's not nearly as interesting as everyone else's!

So, update on the past: just finished my summer studio (Hooray!), saw Julie & Julia with Brad and I have to say I loved it, but I like both Meryl Streep and Amy Adams, so it was bound that I'd like it! Now after today, I must start my thesis/professional project research, starting with figuring out what I want to study...ugh! I'm looking forward to the days when I can maybe eventually enjoy summer, instead of always taking classes!
