Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Well, we had our annual St. Patrick's Day party again this year. Good times. We had lots of yummy food and great entertainment! We played Cranium again, boys vs. girls, and the girls won...that's 2 to 1 for the girls! I'm going to post some videos from the game, see if you can guess the what's being acted out before we do. Here's our yummy food, with Jamie, Jill, Shane, and Mandi

Here was the first sculpturade, the clue is "food"...now guess...

Okay, ready for the answer.....that's a carrot in the middle.......it's a "veggie burger." They actually got it, I was quite impressed! Now for the slew of videos, I have no idea how to rotate my videos, so I'm sorry, but you'll have to watch them sideways: First, in the Star Performer Category, Brad got a "Cameo" where he had to silently act out the answer the hint is "animal" now try to see if you can get it right...

Did you get it right? It was Humpback whale! Fun! Here's another one, it's a "Cameo" where you act out silent clues. The hint is "thing."

Now that was quick! So funny! The next one is a "copycat" where you can talk like the famous person or character but can't say names or places, there is no hint. Here we go:

It's so funny that once Bob found out he could talk he didn't know what to say. Ah good times.
Well, I hope you all had a fabulous St. Patrick's Day! And just to let you know, I did start this post back in March, but was too impatient to load the videos...and ever since then I've just been too busy. So now you get a little Irish cheer in the middle of May. And I'm going to try to slowly catch back up starting today.

Redeemed

Tonight Brad and I decided to go to a movie, and since everything that is out right now, pretty much lacks our interest, or is rated R, we had to compromise to see "Remember Me." Now, most people probably know how much I HATE the Twilight movies (loved the books, despise the movies). I think that they are probably the worst movies EVER that were based on a book, and not just because of the low budget for the first film, but they leave out so much of the important substance of the storyline, it's just ridiculous. I think that Kristen Stewart is the worst Bella, it's like every time she cries (especially in the second movie) it sounds like she's constipated...all I'm saying is that they could have done better. Now as for Robert Pattinson, I really enjoyed his stint in Harry Potter, but let's face it, he's no Edward, definitely no where close to the one in my head, so let's just say that I'm not fond of him in those movies or his portrayal of Edward. So, I was really quite skeptical of seeing Remember Me and completely surprised that I actually quite enjoyed his acting in this movie. He has redeemed himself. I think he probably is a fairly good actor, he just needs to move on from his vampire roles so he can continue to do bigger and better movies. I look forward to his future outside of the Twilight series, so hopefully he doesn't turn into a one-hit wonder.

Now as for the movie itself, Remember Me is really rather depressing and has a lot of darker themes, but it captivated me and yes, I shed some tears as well.

Woot!

It's been a long time...school has started and I'm swamped, but I had to make time for this post. Most of you that know us know that Brad has been obsessed with a website (woot.com) where they sell one item a day until midnight ET but on rare occasions they have what is called a "woot-off" where they sell an item until it sells out then replace it with a new one. Usually when a woot-off occurs they have an item called a "random bag of crap" which essentially is a box you get in the main with unknown objects. Total cost is $8 which includes shipping and the "crap." Well Brad has been able to snag a few of these in the past which is a feat of its own since it sells out within Milli-seconds. Midnight turning from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day they always have a bag of crap. This year we were at Brad's parent's house, which has two computers and we were both able to snag random craps. We were so excited! It's my first one, so I was really excited. Well, it took a couple weeks but the "crap" finally arrived and I wanted to share with you the "jewels" we were awarded.

Brad's arrived first and was around 12 lbs. Here is a complete picture of his loot:

Yep, he got a roomba...for $8!

...but it was obviously previously used...YUCK! And we haven't been able to get it to work, so it's literally crap.

Mine weighed like 6 or 8 pounds, I can't remember. I was very excited to open it. (ignore my funky eyebrow...leave it to my husband to not fix me up before he takes a picture).

I have like 12 calculators now...anyone need one? My personal favorites are the little aspirin shaped stress balls.

It's so much fun to just get packages and have no idea what kind of "crap" you're getting. So I hope you all enjoyed this and that you will check out woot the next time you're bored and want to surf the net.
