We bought a....

Blue House!

We are still in the process of moving in and unpacking boxes, so I didn't want to take many pictures of the inside, but I figured I would at least give you a taste of what we're working with. We were lucky enough to purchase this house with a newly remodeled kitchen as well as newer carpet. Now we just need to make little updates, paint, install lighting, and make it our own.

Hopefully we'll have lots more visitors now that we have an actual guest bed for people to sleep in! And I know I'm out of order, but I think just this once it's okay to skip some stuff and catch you up on the BIG news!

April in June

In my previous post I didn't finish the month of April, here it is:

Easter
Easter was celebrated at my Grandparent's home with extended family (which includes my friend Erica and Brad's cousin Devin). My nephew got a cool parachute toy that you throw in the air then it glides down and the parachute opens. All the men were throwing it for my nephew and only getting up maybe 15-20 feet in the air. Then I give it a shot and not only do I out-throw the boys, but I throw it so far that the wind caught it and it got stuck to the telephone wire...ooops! I felt so bad! The wind wrapped it around so many times there was no hope it would be coming down any time soon. It did eventually come down and the neighbors had put it on their garbage. Other than that little mishap, Easter was fun, lots of good food and good times!

Utah
I had the best time with my best friend Hayley! She had a beautiful baby boy in February and I was able to make it out for his blessing and for some much needed girlfriend time! We fit in some shopping and watched some chick flicks, stayed up at night chatting, just like old times. We even got a chance to go to a movie with her sisters and mom whom I love spending time with too! I also got a chance to travel down to Happy Valley to see my sistas' from another mista' Ashley and Hayley (another Hayley, I know!). Ashley had a precious baby girl in February, she's a little diva and absolutely adorable! We hung out at Ashley's catching up on times, had lunch and hung out at Ashley's studio, which was awesome to see! I miss my friends so much! It makes our times together that much more special! While in Utah I got to eat at a few of my favorite restaurants: Cafe Rio, Crown Burger, Fong's, and I even found myself at In-N-Out for lunch one day. Next time I'm going to make sure I eat at Stoneground and Bruge's Waffles & Fries.

Earth Day
We had our annual Earth Day event at the end of April. I love our Earth Day event, being on the committee is by far one of my favorite things that I look forward to every year! We also have a design contest each year for the shirt/poster and the past two years I've won both times. Yay!!

February to April in May

This is really ambitious, but I'm about to catch all the way up from February through April in one post...so buckle down, maybe get some snacks, cause this might be a long one. February I went to my first Shark's hockey game in San Jose with both my Aunts, uncle, and a couple of their friends. It was a lot of fun! The Shark's won, so that made it even better!
I had a birthday. It's weird to not be 25 anymore... My family was able to come down to celebrate, which was so nice! We had homemade raviolis and pink sauce! yum! and I got some really nice gifts, including a Cal Poly Dimploma frame...after two years I guess it's time to take it out of the envelope it was mailed in.
I also got to celebrate my birthday again at a bonfire in Carmel. I felt so special that so many of my friends came out to celebrate, even ones far away! It was baby Liam's first beach trip too, you can tell he was excited!
March My brother celebrated his birthday, we went cosmic bowling and had a yummy dinner with Chicken Rolls! Double yum! I did take pictures, but they all turned out terribly blurry...but here's one anyway. And appropriately, they were playing 80's music and showing the videos on the drop down screens. seems like a perfect way to celebrate!
The end of March we said goodbye to one of our friends/co-workers. Our population of people under 40 in our office is dwindling fast!
April Technically it was the end of March and beginning of April, but that doesn't really matter. Brad and I went to Yosemite. We had been gifted 2 nights at a B&B in Mariposa for Christmas and we were so happy to use it! I've never been to Yosemite so early in the year, but it really was beautiful covered in snow! Of course, it wasn't covered in snow when we got there, it happened on the first day in the park while we were on a 6 mile hike. Yay for adventure!
We saw lots of wildlife at the park and at our B&B
Here are some other sites of Yosemite and the surrounding area
More to come for the month of April...for now this should keep you busy for a while.
