Labor Day Weekend

This weekend Brad was supposed to be rebuilding the motor in his car...but some of the parts didn't show up on time. So, lucky me, I actually got to spend time with my husband exploring the local happenings for Labor Day! Paso Robles was having a classic car weekend and I was really excited to go check out the old cars. I love classic cars, they are just so much cooler than cars today! They have so much character and awesome colors and they are just overall much more attractive! Unfortunately it was over 100 degrees on Saturday and it was miserable to walk around, so we didn't spend a lot of time looking at the cars, but I did get pictures of my favorites!

This is my all-time dream classic car! The Stingray!

This was a unique find, believe it or not, this is a BBQ grill. Pretty fancy!

Brad found an old military vehicle, it had a really loud "horn" that the owner decided to push without warning and startled me.

And who could resist this iconic symbol?

I loved these details! And yes, that is a prop of old school drive-in food...who knew that existed?

Doors that open backwards always intrigue me.

A stretch Cadillac...the view from the back end wasn't taken with a fish eye lens either...crazy!

And finally, the Cobra! When my brother and I would play cars when we were younger I always wanted to be the Cobra, it was always one of my top three (Cobra, Gold Eagle Jeep, convertible).

While we were wandering around trying to stay in the shade we found puppies!!!! They were so adorable! And only $75! But of course, I couldn't get one, Brad being allergic and all, but it was tempting. They were so cute and well behaved...until a girl fell into the cage and they all started barking at which point we walked away.

I love living so close to the beach! Later on Saturday we decided to see if the vacationers at the beach left any treasures in the sand, but alas, our bounty was limited to a quarter, a hair clip, bobby pins, and countless pieces of foil wrappers. But look at this view! I can't imagine a more beautiful place to be able to drive to on a whim. We are so lucky!

After the beach we went out to Chinese food, which was super yummy since Chinese (Americanized) food is pretty much my favorite next to Italian!

The rest of our weekend was spent researching.

Researching what you may ask....well, we decided that since it's our 5 year wedding anniversary this year we would take a vacation.

So watch out EUROPE, here we come!
