I LOVE Batman! So, of course I had to ride the rides associated with anything Batman and I also squished a penny souvenir with the Batman symbol. And my final souvenir was a Batman ring, yes, a ring, I love it!
And this is Brad and me on the Batman Ride, which was then followed by The Riddler's Revenge.
Colossus was fun, the first ride all 4 of us rode together!
We rode the log ride and at least two other water rides, it was so hot! We were so happy to be cooled off by the water.
Brian and Jill found some awesome glasses at one of the souvenir shops we walked through to cool off for a few seconds.
And I finally found a Batman character walking around to take pictures with. I was so excited!
At the end of the day Brian won a superman cape. It was so cute to watch him walk around, like a big kid!
And we finally got a picture of the Six Flags sign as we were leaving the park to drive the 3 hours back home.
It was a great day! We all had a lot of fun! I was so exhausted by the time we left and I tried to sleep on the ride home, but it's difficult to do in the back seat of my car especially with headlights constantly shining in my face.
More excitement happened once we got home. A bit after midnight (I was asleep, Brad was on the computer in the office) Brad heard a loud bang, our windows were open, and it sounded to him like someone hit his car window, then his car alarm started going off. He startled me as he stormed into the bedroom turning on the lights grabbing a shirt and his keys and phone and then ran down the stairs to his car and proceeded to chase people down the street. I was still really groggy and not quite coherent, then I started freaking out thinking he could get hurt. Who knows if those guys trying to break into his car had a weapon! So, after a good ten or more minutes I texted him to see if he was okay, then I heard him coming back. He had called the cops and then once the cops came they talked to him and checked out his car (as best they could with a flashlight in the middle of the night) and they let him go. We don't know what happened to the two guys. But Saturday we went out to the car to go somewhere and saw the distinct footprint of someone's shoe on the passenger window where the tow guys had obviously tried to kick in the window! Ugh! We took a picture, but haven't told the police. I hate people who feel entitled to break into people's cars!
Ooo, that sounds like so much fun! I went to 6 flags with some friends our freshman year. It was awesome! Plus, I'm almost as excited about the Batman dude as you are! Way to go. Remember how we used to have competing superhero fan wars? Yay for Superman. Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI was meaning to tell you, I got your CD in the mail. It was perfect timing! I listened to it about a dozen times while I was studying for my boards to get myself motivated. Thanks!
It sounds like you had a great time at the park and Brad was lucky to have saved his car from being broken into. Maybe not the wisest thing (to chase would-be burglars), but I couldn't imagine Brad doing anything else in that situation!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like such a blast! Glad you had a good time. Sorry about Brad's car, that is so frustrating. I hate people like that, too. Get a life!!
ReplyDeleteAshley- I totally remember our superhero wars! Batman rules! I kept thinking of you when I'd see superman stuff!
ReplyDeleteRita- Brad was very lucky to have saved his car, and I agree, not the best thing to chase after those guys, but I can't imagine him NOT chasing those guys.
Hayley- People do need to get a life, if they can't keep their hands to themselves then they should probably just stay home.
