Soda Lake

On our drive home on Monday we decided to go on a little adventure and take a road we've never taken before. The road was dirt for a really long time, which was somewhat irritating since Brad's car doesn't have air conditioning and we had to have the windows down to keep from getting heat stroke!

Anyway, I really thought Soda Lake would be a real lake, and I would get to dip my feet in and cool off for a few minutes...not so much. But it was still a nice break from being in the car.





The ground was really crunchy and reminded me a bit of the salt flats. My legs were coated in white dust after walking out in the open.



After our small break we continue driving home and we were so happy for the cool ocean breeze as we got closer to home. It made me appreciate where we live so much more. I love having a cool ocean breeze in the middle of a hot summer.
